86–93 Foxbody 351 5.8 Mustang Single Turbo Kit

Recently we have started working on a 2nd generation turbo system for the 2 & 4 valve cars that will be put into production shortly. Although we will continue selling the same kit currently listed, we will have a new kit option for both vehicles. I personally have daily driven the current 2v car for over the past few years proving the kit and 13,000+ miles with the On3 70mm turbo included with each kit. The setup works excellent but want to take it to the next level as well as implement some of our customer input into the most current design. Our customers are very important to us and in turn do provide very good feedback allowing us to perfect the finished product making it more and more refined.
The new 2v and 4v Mustang Gt / Cobra turbo systems will have a tubular header allowing us to direct the exhaust directly toward the front of the vehicle. Previously we would have to route from stock manifolds to a merge before going toward the turbo. This allows us to eliminate over 50% of the exhaust tubing pre-turbo which will allow this setup to be much more efficient. Providing quicker spool and should wake up the higher HP cars running larger turbos earlier on in the rpm band. Our new forward facing header will allow customers to run an automatic transmission without making any sort of modification to the tubing. Material of choice for the headers and merge pipe to the turbo will be mild-steel. Intercooler tubing and turbo back will remain 304 stainless. We low mounted the wastegate as well which cleans up the engine bay and look less cluttered. Instead of routing the wastegate back into the downpipe, we opted to vent to atmosphere.
Moving on to the post turbo exhaust, it remains 3" 304 stainless 16 gauge but now routed down the driver-side of the vehicle. The exhaust is v-band connected at the turbo and the connections now from there to the cat-back will be slip fit with stainless band clamps. This allows for more fine adjustments as its a tight fit to get everything routed on the mod motor cars.
In order to better support the system, we designed a laser cut bracket with a powder-coated black finish. This will keep the turbo supported and keep the tubing from having to bear the full weight of the system. Thus helping to extend the life of the product and prevent any issues associated with all the dead weight stress. Since we were having the turbo support cut, we went ahead and had a set of intercooler brackets cut and coated as well
We mocked the new design with UPR suspension under the car and will be the recommended suspension choice with the Gen. 2 On3 turbo systems.

Do you already have an On3 mod motor system and want to upgrade to our new hotside? We will run a limited amount of upgrade kits for those that want to swap to the Gen.2 system. It will consist of a complete hotside(pre/post turbo) along with 1 intercooler tube. The rest of the intercooler tubing will be retained and no have to be replaced.
